Unless you're Bill Murray or Scarlett Johansson it's no fun being lost in a place where cannot understand a word people say. That location can be a foreign land, an unfamiliar street, or sometimes even your own apartment at the time when a new lawn or cleaning crew pops up.

What does one do when you have to deal with someone who does not speak your language? You might try using fingers to communicate. You could always have a dictionary around and desperately search through thousands of entries in a split of a second. It might be quite clumsy if you are not that quick.
