Working together

There are 3 kinds of human interactions: conversational, transactional and collaborative.

If you want to make the right choice about your software technology, you have to understand the differences that exist between those interactions.

Conversational interaction is a transfer of ideas and an interaction of transaction is an exchange of a transaction entity between 2 or more people involeved, while collaborative interaction is employed for a change of a substance of collaboration, for instance: reaching a shared objective.

Collaborative interactions are dealt with in such a way that the key goal of those involved is to introduce changes into the collaboration entity from something unstable and immaterial, for instance, an idea, into something useful, for instance a design solution.

Collaborative software

Collaboration software is related to groupware programs that let people share information and work together on projects.

Its powerful functionality enables team members to see action plans, exchange documents, track projects, monitor schedules, facilitate business processes, be duely notified of any new objectives and activities they are involved in. There are a number of approaches to making these applications useful: scheduling activities, documents and projects, automating business processes and harmonizing work of two or more departments or even offices.
