A nice wrapping makes a good sale. If you want to successfully distribute your books or software items, wrap them up. As the product is virtual, so is the wrapping. Below you can see 3 possible ways to create a virtual cover:
- Requesting it from somebody
- Drawing it yourself in Photoshop
- Using some cool dedicated software
The first option looks pretty simple. However, excellent designers ask for big money. Every product box or e-book cover will round up to $150. Using Photoshop is fine if you know how to make the program do what you want from it. To do everything properly extra action scripts might be necessary that are not that cheap. And there is the cost of Photoshop, of course, which will cost you $700. The third option is to try and choose from the specialized boxshot software. It is good to learn that the market of such solutions is huge with the prices at $15-100. There is obviously plenty room for choice. If we group these offerings, we will be left with three types:
Ready made templates that give no freedom
3D with polygonal rendering
3D with ray tracing
