Kyiv is the city where the modern and the old create wonderful opportunities for cultural and aesthetical exploration. Nevertheless, before you become a visitor to this incredible city, take your time to figure out at least 2 questions: where you will spend your nights and how you are going to get around the place.

Let us consider selecting an accommodation. Start by considering your budget and your tastes, you may either choose to rent a room in a Kiev hotel, or rent an apartment. The most comfortable way of moving around is Kiev taxis. They will deliver you you from the station to your hotel or apartment for no more than $35. Generally, for a foreigner, the Ukrainian taxis should be quite inexpensive. It is easy to taxi Kiev around. Nevertheless, if you do not plan on using only taxis in Kiev, the city has some other transport options to offer.

First of all, it is the underground that can get you almost anywhere in the city. It is very practical when you travel a long way during rush hours when there are traffic jams on the roads. Second, you can use buses, trolley busses and trams. These types of transport are rather inexpensive: you pay a fixed fee to drive any distance. However, they don't have a schedule of passage. Next, you could always walk around or use Kiev's unique transportation - funicular that goes up the bank of Dnieper River. And finally, you can simply use your feet.

Come visit Kiev. The city has got plenty of attractions to please an aspiring tourist.
